Spay/Neuter
The buyer agrees to spay/neuter their selected puppy but NOT until at least 18-24 months old when joints are fully formed. However, waiting until the full 2 years old is optimal and prefered for this breed. Failure to spay a non-breeding female can result in Pyometra, which can lead to cancer. Buyer understands that unless the seller has approved them as breeder and granted them breeding rights, the selected puppy is to not be bred.
Return/Sell puppy
If for any reason at all the buyer decides they can no longer care for the puppy/adult dog any longer, the seller must be notified so they can assist in finding an appropriate home for the puppy/adult dog. We believe strongly in our goal to never have any of our dogs end up in an unfit home, shelter, puppy mill, or on the streets. The seller has agreed to sell this puppy to the signer of this contract, no other owner of this dog may be chosen without the agreement of the seller first.
For approved breeders:

Buyer agrees to contact Companion Goldens of the Carolinas with the results of each test. This is to ensure responsible and healthy breeding of our bloodlines. Buyer agrees to not resell, rehome, or place this dog in a guardian home without the consent of Companion Goldens of the Carolinas. Buyer agrees to only breed or stud out this dog to a full blooded golden retriever that has also had all of the proper testing listed above and not in any relation to the dog. Buyer also agrees to not grant any breeding rights when selling the offspring of this puppy to someone that is not a reputable breeder or to someone who lives in the state of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee or Virginia. Buyer also agrees to not stud out this dog for breeders in the state of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee or Virginia. Please make sure you are as particular as we are when it comes to breeding rights of our offspring. We want to keep the health and integrity of our bloodline and not saturate our area with poorly bred dogs and also to prevent inbreeding.
